Document Description
The operator proposes to alter 200 feet of the streambed to extend the existing box culvert at Montecito Channel. This will accommodate reconfiguration of the connector ramp from southbound I-605 to westbound SR-22. The purpose of the project is to reduce traffic accidents by bringing the connector up to current design and safety standards. The streambed consists of an unlined trapezoidal channel approximately 10 feet wide at the bottom. The channel is well maintained and at the time of the field review (August 2001) had no living vegetation except for duck weed.
