Document Description
This minor amendment to the previously issued ITP accounts for a change in the location where required mitigation will occur. The ITP requires the permittee to mitigate impacts to winter and spring-run Chinook salmon and delta smelt associated with the loss of shaded riverine aquatic (SRA) habitat by restoring 0.6 acres of SRA habitat within the project area. Because of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' restrictions on vegetating levees in the project area, the minor amendment authorizes the permittee to fulfill its mitigation requirement to authorize the permittee to purchase 1.2 acres of SRA habitat credits from a mitigation bank pre-approved by DFG. The ITP and minor amendment referenced above as issued by DFG authorized incidental take of species listed under CESA expected to occur as a result of project implementation.
