The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2009-0139-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Walter Smite, BNSF Railways. A proposed Capacity Improvement Project will add a new mainline track or upgrade existing sidings to approximately 22.7 miles of railway between Mile Post 1100.9 and 1123.6. This SAA covers the tracks within the Department's jurisdiction between Escalon to Stockton.
