Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement #0962-99 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Burl Huffman/San Jose Water Company. SJWC proposes to replace existing manual leaf filtering wire mesh screens with automatic, self-cleaning leaf screens on three raw water intakes in the Santa Cruz mountain area, in the vicinity of Lexington Reservoir. Additionally, SJWC proposes to make minor access and erosion control improvements at these sites, including the replacement of a foot bridge, rebuilding of a catwalk, and placement of rock cover for bank stabilization at the Trout Gulch Intake site. Other improvements include replacement of a catwalk and removal of a trash rack at the Lower Cavanee Intake site, and installation of electrical conduits at all sites to furnish power for the leaf screens and for lighting.
