Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Federal Highway Administration propose to improve traffic flow and safety associated with the roadway crossing of the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad located in the Cities of Anaheim and Yorba Linda, in Orange County. To achieve improved traffic flow in this area, it is proposed that a grade separation structure be construed along SF-90. The project would emcompass the area along SR-90 between La Palma Avenue to the south and approximately 900 meters (2,950 feet) to the northwest of the centerline of Orangethorpe Avenue-Esperanza Road (O/E). The number of lanes on the elevated portion of SR-90 would increase to match the existing number of lanes along SR-90 on either side of the intersection, alleviating traffic delays and waiting at the railroad crossing.
