Document Description
The United States Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) proposes to approve a temporary one-year Warren Act contract for conveyance of non-project water with the Kern-Tulare Water District and/or the Rag Gulch Water District (collectively the KTRGWD) for each of the next five water years. The term of the first Warren Act contract would be the 2002 water year, ending February 28, 2003. While this Environmental Asessment analyzes the effects of this project over multiple years, the actual process may, at the discretion of Reclamation, occur on an annual basis. The purpose of the contract is to allow KTRGWD to convey its non-project water through excess capacity of the Friant Division Project (Project) facilities.
