Document Description
The proposed project will relocate and replace the existing SIO Sciences Development Shop, which is outdated and proposed for eventual demolition. The SIO Marine Sciences Development Shop is proposed as a single-story pre-engineered metal building with a 9,750-gross square-foot (GSF) floor area. The building will have an approximate sidewall height of 23 feet and will accommodate an overhead crane system. The facility will house a welding shop, machine area, offices, lunch and work rooms, and employee restrooms. An approximately 3,200-GSF exterior staging area is planned northeast of the shop.
