Document Description
DWR and USBR will enter into a water purchase agreement with KCWA. KCWA will deliver up to 185,000 acre-feet to the Lead Agencies through SWP allocation exchange in O'Neil Forebay and San Luis Reservoir. KCWA will recover an equal amount of water previously recharged and stored in groundwater banks to satisfy local needs in 2002 in lieu of the exchanged allocation. No new facilities or water supplies will be created as a result of this one-time water purchase.
