Class 1, Section 15301
Reasons for Exemption
The purpose of the project is to improve migration opportunities for adult steelhead in the Carmel River by modifying a natural riffle, which has insufficient water depths and a steep, shallow, fast section along its length. These changes consist of minor alterations to a natural stream channel and the local topography to protect fish resources.
