Document Description
In 1998, the service spillway at Pyramid Dam was used to release emergency flows due to high intensity events. The high velocity flows caused spalling of the concrete at numerous joints primarily on the lower end of the spillway slope. The DWR climb team inspected the damaged areas and recommended patching of the eroded areas. A conservative estimate would sawcut and patch approximately 200 cracks. Beneficiaries of the project are the People of the State of California.
