Document Description
Remove encroaching lodgepole pine from Antone Meadow in Burton Creek S.P., Solari Meadow in Plumas Eureka S.P. and all meadows in Washoe Meadows S.P. Lodgepole pines have started geoswing in the meadows due to lack of natural fire and changes in the hydrologic regimes. The purpose of the project is to maintain healthy meadow ecosystems and riparian zones, and reduce fire danger. Cuttings will be stacked and burned over a five year period. Proposed pile locations will be reviewed by an archeologist.
