Document Description
The proposed temporary water right is needed during a period in which the El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is repairing sections of its El Dorado Canal Flume and EID cannot utilize its water right from the South Fork of the American River. EID proposes to divert up to 2.75 cubic feet per second (cfs) from its existing Alder Creek diversion for up to 12 weeks beginning February 4, 2002. The purpose of the proposed diversion is for maintaining flows through Alder Creek Siphon and for limited consumptive water supply purposes at its Mill Creek to Bull Creek tunnel construction site. Approximately 2.5 cfs of the proposed diversion will be returned to the South Fork of the American River from Spill Gate 17. Up to 0.25 cfs will be used for the identified consumptive purpose.
