Document Description
The Operator proposes to relocate existing utilities outside of the SCVTA and UPRR right-of-way (ROW) to allow for the extension of the Bay Area Rapid Transit project referred to as the Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension (SVBX). The utilities to be relocated include a Chevron petroleum line and Verizon (MCI) communications line and will be performed using trenchless technology, such as horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and/or jack-and-bore methods, or by temporarily relocating the communications line on existing/new utility poles or existing bridges/culverts. The DFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0049-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (SCVTA).
