Acquisition of up to four adjacent residential lots is proposed to accomodate reconstruction of the Luther Burbank Elementary School. The Proposed acquisition would affect 10 dwelling units on 0.73 acre. The proposed project includes the demolition and/or removal of all existing school and residential structures. The school will be reconstructed with permanent one-, two-, of three-story classroom buildings and support facilities. The facility will serve up to 500 students in grades K-5. An existing Child Development Center/Preschool is to be consolidated into a single area on campus to accommodate 92 students within four classrooms. The expansion will provide additional playground and playfield areas.
