The proposed site vacant surplus land that the city of Escondido recently acquired and annexed for the construction of a city fire station. The city fire station abuts the property where the new forest fire station is proposed
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) proposes to vacate the existing San Marcos Forest Fire Station in San Marcos and relocate to this site in the city of Escondido. The new facility will consist of a 2,330 sf barracks, a 1,697 sf apparatus building, and a 100 sf fueling station.
