Document Description
A request for a new facility for the Escondido Humane Society, which would consist of four buildings, totaling approximately 84,400 square feet. The project includes a request for a Zone Change from RA-5 (Residential Agricultural, 5 acre minimum lot size) to PD-R (Residential Planned Development), a Preliminary Development Plan for the entire project site and a Master and Precise Development Plan for phase I, a 15,000 square foot Animal Control Building. Phase II would potentially include a 22,500 square foot Main Building, a 17,300 square foot Education Building and a 29,600 square foot Equine Center. Off-site Improvements include the improvements of an unpaved road along the western side of the flood control channel to a 24-foot paved width, and construction of an Arizona Crossing. The site is currently vacant and would be leased to the Escondido Humane Society by the City of Escondido.
