Document Description
The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is proposing to construct a new single-story, approximately 26,400 square foot (sf) building to consolidate existing school functions presently dispersed at three seperate locations, for the Youth Program at Metropolitan State Hospital. The new school building will provide enhanced classroom space, more efficient use of learning resources, improved coordination of school functions, and improved security. The new school building will replace use of several structures presently being used for school functions that are seismically deficient. The space would house approximately 81 existing staff related to the school. Approximately 163-168 reconfigured parking spaces will be provided in parking areas both south and west of the new school building.
