Document Description
Deletion of Condition of Certification AQ-19 which required the applicant tune the emergency diesel engine to 4 degrees of retard, in an effort to control Nox emissions below 6.9 grams per brakehorse power per hour (g/Bhp.hr). The new engine being proposed is a Caterpillar model 3512B electronically controlled diesel engine. The SCAQMD has determined that the proposed engine is registered with the District demonstrating that it complies with their emission limit and that the condition requiring either a 4 degree retard setting of a 6.9 g/Bhp.hr emission limit is not required.
