The purpose of this contract is to develop a model to identify and reduce collision risk to birds in the Altamont Pass Resource Area and to determine the effect of repowering with larger turbines on birds. This meets the PIER goals of Improving energy cost/value, improving the environment, public health and safety, and providing greater choices for California consumers.
