Document Description
The proposed project entails the demolition of a residence building and detached garage located on the Banner Mountain Lookout compound. The buildings are 23' by 19' (residence) and 12' by 20' (garage). The buildings are no longer used and are in a state of disrepair. They are full of dry rot and insects and have extensive water damage. The buildings are an attractive nuisance and invite unauthorized use. The Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit prefers to demolish the buildings rather than seek funding for major renovation required to make them serviceable and avoid the liabilities of unauthorized use.
