Document Description
This project will provide for construction of a new (additional) headworks structure upstream from the institution's existing lift station will be located approximately 25 feet below grade to reach the existing sewer line. The headworks structure will house mechanical equipment designed to collect and process floating and suspended solids contained in the prison's wastewater. Screening collected from wastewater will be subsequently washed, compacted, and dewatered for disposal in an existing local sanitary landfill. The project will require 25 feet of excavation for the head work's structure, construction of a reinforced concrete foundation, channels and walls, installation of the mechanical bar screen, washer and compactor, and the extension of 480 volt power to service the new equipment.
