The proposed improvements are part of the West Basin Municipal Water District's (WBMWD) Harbor-South Bay Water Recycling project within the County of Los Angeles. As part of the WBMWD's recycled water project, this DEA represents the first phase of lateral pipeline construction. This phase consists of the construction of approximately 7,200 linear feet (LF) of transmission pipeline to service the Victoria Regional Golf Course and Park (Lateral II, Victoria Lateral), and approximately 7,600 LF of pipeline to service the California State University, Dominguez Hills (Lateral IIIA, CSUDH Mainline Extension) campus in calendar year 2002. Phased infrastructure improvements throughout the County of Los Angeles will include construction of additional recycled water distribution facilities and supporting infrastructure such as on-site Energy Development, Treatment Plant Process Expansion, and a Secondary Effluent Pump Station. Design and Construction phases will extend from calendar year 2002 through 2006.
