The site was quarried for rock and is known as the Pacifica Quarry site. The western portion of the site (west of Calera Creek) has steep slopes and an abandoned retention pond. The eastern portion of the site is relatively flat. The site contains herbaceous vegetation, brush and trees. The site is zoned C-3x, HPD (Hillside Preservation District). The "x" means that a public vote is required for residential development. The General Plan designation is Special Area.
Document Description
The mixed-use project includes retail, residential, a hotel/conference center, and civic use to create a "village center". Uses would include stand alone retail shops; residential over retail and restaurants configured along a traditional "main street"; Land set aside for the City of Pacifica to build a civic building; a town square; and a mix of single-family detached, attached and town home residences.
