Document Description
The applicant proposes to operate a mining project that will consist of excavating dredged soils, screening them for size and then loading the soils on to trucks for transport to construction projects within a 50 mile service area. A dirt roadway already exists from the intersection of Montezuma Hills Road and Emigh Road through private land and passes within 1,200 feet of the area proposed for mining. The private access road would remain as a dirt road but would be maintained by the applicant to keep access to the mining operation open. The project would include the construction of a 1,200 foot long and 25 foot wide new dirt haul road to acces the mining area from existing haul roads near the mining area on the McCormick property.
