Document Description
The Sacramento Groundwater Authority (SGA), in cooperation with five of its member agencies (Citrus Heights Water District, Fair Oaks Water District, Northridge Water District, City of Sacramento, and San Juan Water District), proposes to conduct the Project, using existing facilities and water rights and contract entitlements, to determine the operational and institutional feasibility of a conjuntive use program to provide American River water to the Environmental Water Account (EWA), within and downstream of Folsom Lake. The SGA, and its five aforementioned member agencies, will undertake policy, fiscal, and physical activities related to groundwater extraction and surface water diversion from Folsom Lake and the lower American River to implement the Project.
