Document Description
The proposed project will consist of amending the Parks and Recreation Element of the City of Porterville General Plan to include a Neighborhood Community Center and construction of a 10,000+ square foot community center building. Construction of an Elementary School to include three permanent classroom buildings, administration building and installation of recreational facilities, parking areas, and appurtenances related to the Community Center and Elementary School. The Open Space Element will also be amended to include a mitigation site, and environmental mitigation will occur at an off site location to consist of the creation of replacement wetlands and replacement of relocated elderberry shrubs. The extent of such work will be determined through federal permitting processes.
