Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (1600-2009-0072-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Inland Empire Utilities Agency. The Amendment of the Streambed Alteration Agreement involves an increase in project impacts, addition of 3 basins (described above) to be included within the project scope, extension of the project term, and additional conservation measures. The increase in project impacts includes annual and periodic maintenance of the basins/channels to maintain recharge capacity of each facility. The amendment proposes an increase from 335.1 acres to 705.8 acres total maintenance area subject to Fish and Game Code section 1602 resources. The amendment provides additional measures to address the temporary impacts that may result from expanding operation and maintenance of groundwater recharge facilities on existing fish and wildlife resources within the project area.
