Present Land Use
Fully urbanized with predominantly residential uses, though some commercial, industrial and public uses are also present. Existing development consists of low-medium-and high-density residential neighborhoods, neighborhood commercial services, light industrial/manufacturing uses, schools, parks, and the Civic Center. Zoning and General Plan designations are largely consistent with the existing pattern of land uses, including Residential (Low, Medium, High), Commercial (Neighborhood, Community), Industrial (Commercial/Manufacturing), and Public (School, Park, Church, Civic Center).
Document Description
The proposed Project will adopt and implement a Redevelopment Plan in the city of Cudahy. The proposed City-Wide Project Area consists of approximately 512 acres and is the focus of this environmental assessment. The Cudahy Community Development Commission has proposed the Project for the purpose of alleviating blight and promoting reinvestment in the Project Area. Although no development or construction is proposed at this time, implementation of the Redevelopment Plan is expected to facilitate infrastructure improvement and rehabilitation activities consistent with the adopted City of Cudahy General Plan.
