Document Description
The City of Bell Gardens is updating the City's 1995 Housing Element to address the planning period 2000-2005. The Housing Element is one of the seven mandatory elements required by state law for inclusion into local general plans. The City of Bell Gardens Housing Element was last revised in 1995 as part of the City's comprehensive General Plan Update. The Housing Element, by itself will not result in any new residential development or the attendant environmental effects. The Element, will instead, serve as a guide to provide opportunities for new housing pursuant to City and state housing policy.
