Document Description
The County of Imperial with the Department of Public Works as operator, was last permitted to operate the Brawley Solid Waste Site on July 20, 1979. The facility permit has not been updated since that time. The property is owned by the County of Imperial. The Imperial County Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) has not required that the County of Imperial Department of Public Works update its Solid Waste Facility Permit due to it's eminent upcoming closure. However they do require that an updated revision to the Final Closure/Postclosure Maintenance Plans be prepared. These plans have been prepared by Brian A. Stirrat and Associates for the Department of Public Works. The Brawley Solid Waste Site is nearing final closure which is expected March 2002.
