Document Description
The proposed project is the removal of ammonia from plant effluent through the process of converting ammonia to nitrites and then to nitrates, using oxygen, and then converting the nitrates to nitrogen by bacterial action. The project also includes enlarging the digestion ponds, which will increase the capacity of the plant from 12 million gallons per day (mg/d) to 14.5 mg/d.
