Document Description
The applicant proposes project activities involving bed, bank or channel alteration at three stream sites of unnamed non-fish bearing tributaries to Turner Creek, a tributary to the Middle Fork of the Eel River (Section 14, R22N T13W USGS Map Covelo West, Mendocino County). These activities involve the installation of three temporary skid trail crossings during no stream flow periods. Operations at these project sites may occur between June 15 and October 15, 2002-2004. The three stream crossings, within review of this notification lie within the southern section of the Grist Creek Unit, and are tributaries to Turner Creek's confluence with the Middle Fork Eel River. The Grist Creek Unit is accessed by a private, gated, permanent road that is accessed directly from Covelo Road (Hwy 162). The proposed work is associated with the non-industrial Timber Management Plan 1-01NTMP-031 Men.
