Document Description
California Pines Community Services District is seeking approval for the restoration and improvement of an existing walking trail/recreational facility that has fallen into disrepair and has become unuseable. The Cal-Pines community plans to tear out and replace old dilapidated materials; such as numerous railroad ties, and replace them with pressure treated timbers. The plans also call for replacement of existing walkway materials with compacted class II base rock. The trail will incorporate such improvements as rest areas, fishing access points, and an interpretive area for those who come to use the trail for walking, biking, equestrian activities or just to go fishing. The trial rehabilitation project will provide a valuable recreational opportunity for the residents of Cal-Pines, the residents of Modoc County, and for out of the area visitors.
