Document Description
The operator proposes to demolish and rebuild a bridge over Crow Canyon Creek at 6570 Crow Canyon Road, Castro Valley, Alameda County, Assessor's Parcel Number 85-1700-6-2. Prior to demolition of the bridge, new abutements will be built with reinforced concrete columns extending down to bedrock. The old bridge will be taken down manually with the aid of a tractor and crane. When the deck is cleared away workers will go into the creekbed and detach the wooden portions of the piers and remove them. The new steel piers will be attached to the existing horizontals. A crane will place the prefab bridge in place. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0848 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
