The proposed project would involve removing nine World War II era bridges and constructing replacement bridges at four of the bridge locations. Environmental protection measures have been incorporated into the project to address protection of steelhead trout and California red-legged frog, protection of bats, vegetation management and replacement, archaeological resource protection, control of combustion-related air pollutants, dust control and pollution prevention.
