Document Description
The proposed project consists of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW) at Howard Terminal to address residual contamination from historic land use practices at the Site. The contaminants include petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, and cyanide. The proposed project activities include performance of a geophysical survey, they will be removed, or in the case of wells, closed. Soils excavated during tank or pipe removal will be properly disposed off-site and groundwater monitoring and cap maintenance will be performed on an annual basis. Also a deed restriction will be placed on a property limiting the Site use to industrial/commercial purposes only and requiring DTSC review and approval for any future construction plan, which may disturb the existing cap.
