The project area is primarily vacant, currently containing a residence and associated out buildings. The project area is currently designated Light Industrial and Agricultural under the City of Oakley General Plan.
The applicant has proposed land use designations for the 147 acres in order to allow the future development of up to 660 housing units (560 single-family and 100 multi-family units). The applicant has submitted a preliminary land plan in order to identify the major access points to Cypress Road and address infrastructure improvements. The application also includes a planned development in order to address the type and quality of future residential development.
