Document Description
The Lake County Sanitation District (LACOSAN), in conjunction with Northern California Power Agency (NCPA), proposes to implement pump station upgrades along the existing southeast Geysers effluent pipeline to increase the delivery of recycled water to The Geysers steam field for injection. These upgrades would increase the flow rate of the existing Geysers pipeline from approximately 6,100 gallons per minute (gpm) to aproximately 7,100 gpm. This increased pumping capacity would allow for increased injection into the steamfield operated by NCPA, on the order of 16 percent over current injection capacity. The proposed project would allow NCPA to increase geothermal energy production in the southeast Geysers.
