Document Description
Medical clinic expansion and EMS Heliport. Add 5,288 square feet including a waiting room, medical wing and a staff room to the existing medical clinic. Construct a landing facility for helicopters to transport patients for emergency room service to hospitals in the Redding area. The project site consists of two parcels that have been developed with the existing clinic since 1984. The structures burned in the Fountain Fire and were replaced in 1992. The area of expansion is located in an area that has been significantly disturbed by previous construction and demolition activities. There is a small seasonal drainage/creek that heads a short distance west of the project on the adjoining hillside. The project is designed to avoid the drainage course. The Helicopter operations will be limited to the average of six trips per month as stipulated in California Code of Regulations for EMS operations.
