Document Description
The U.S. Gypsum facilities are located in Western Imperial County, consisting of: (a) Plaster City Plant, which produces wallboard and related gypsum products, located 18 miles west of the City of El Centro; (b) water supply, consisting of an 8-mile water supply line extending from a well field located in the vicinity of the community of Ocotillo; and (c) the Plaster City Quarry, from which gypsum materials are quarried, located approximately 26 miles north of the Plaster City Plant. The applicant proposes to expand and upgrade facilities at the Plaster City Plant to increase wallboard production capacity with related increases in water supply.
