Document Description
In response to increased student growth, the 2001 Facilities Master Plan provides a framework for the College's decisions concerning allocation and management of resources, capital outlay programs, and construction planning for needed facilities and improvements. Due to the continuing rapid growth of the Santa Clarita Valley, student enrollment is projected to reach nearly 20,000 within the next 10 years. The Master Plan provides for new academic, athletic, support, and administrative facilities, improved pedestrian and vehicular circulation on campus, a new formal main entry and other improvements sufficient to accommodate the current and future student enrollment. As a result of the Master Plan, the square footage of facilities will increase by 51% to accommodate a 17,000 - 18,000 student enrollment on campus. To accommodate the additional 2,000 - 3,000 student enrollment, the College is initiating a search for an off-campus access site.
