Residential Multiple Family (R-3-1) and Commercial (CM-1VL)
The project would involve the construction of two school facility buildings for grades K-2 totaling approximately 33,000 square feet of a 1.83-acre site. One of the buildings would be a two-story classroom building (maximum height of 34 feet) that would consist of 13 general and 3 kindergarten classrooms. The other would be a one-story administration/multi-purpose building that would house a library, administrative offices, food service facilities, and other support service uses. The administration building would front onto Tamarind Avenue. An enclosed playground would be constructed for the kindergarten classes in the northeast corner of the site. An 8-foot high block wall would surround all exposed sides of this playground. Another playground for the older students would be provided in the southeast portion of the site. The rest of the site will be enclosed with an 8-foot high chain link fence. An underground parking structure would provide spaces for 36 cars.
