This property was acquired in order to "protect and preserve this ecologically important area as open space and recreation land. It will open to public access an area that contains preserved grasslands, meadows, wetlands, creeks, live oaks, cliffs and canyons that will provide extensive recreational opportunities for the Los Angeles region."
