Document Description
The proposed project would make improvements to the existing water facilities at the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) Norco. The project is needed to bring CRC's water facilities into compliance with water quality standards, pursuant to Order No. 04-14-98CO-004, issued by the State Department of Health Services to CRC Norco. The project would include: replacement of existing fire hydrant assemblies and installation of several new fire hydrant assemblies; replacement of selected segments of water distribution pipeline and installation of approximately 3,000 lineal feet of new pipeline from the existing upper reservoir to the existing on-site distribution system; re-coating the interior of the lower reservoir consisting of a welded steel tank. The project would also correct existing high-hazard cross connections at CRC, replace broken isolation valves on the water distribution system, and replace existing pressure reducing valves. The project would accommodate the existing inmate population with no expansion of the current use.
