Document Description
The proposed easement follows the alignment of the old County Road, upon which lands the legal rights-of-way were abandoned by the County in 1962. United Water continued to maintain this stretch of road, repairing it after major spills from Santa Felicia Dam, which typically erodes a portion of the road. United Water has utilized the road for purposes of public safety by way of continuing the ability to perform the proper maintenance of the facilities at Santa Felicia Dam. Heavy equipment cannot access important areas of the Dam property by alternative routes. Additionally, United Water's Dam Tender is housed at the site, providing additional emergency response and public safety functions. General services to the Dam Tender's residence and other United Water Facilities will continue as they have since 1962. The proposed easement will document a right of passage over the land and compensate the present property owner for encumbrance of title.
