Document Description
The project consists of the reconstruction of two protective earthen berms used to channel flood waters from the river over the Colorado River Aqueduct (CRA), located on the upstream side of the southernmost barrel and extending northward in the stream area, through the removal of sandbars, which are the result of flash floods, and the placement of the material, approximately 700 cubic yards of soil and rock, alongside the river for the reconstruction of 800 linear feet of each dike. The total area affected by the maintenance activity, involving the use of Caterpillar D-4 and D-7 dozers, is 4.6 acres, including the areas outside the bed and bank of the normal flow channel.
