Document Description
The proposed project would consist of installing a Photo Voltaic System on the roof of the Franchise Tax Board Building II. This solar power system will be comprised of nine arrays covering a total of 109,000 square feet of the roof and deliver clean solar electricity to the building. Cabling from the arrays will converge to an existing roof conduit, to a combiner box and an inverter system in each of the two electrical rooms, and subsequently be connected to the existing 208 volt electrical service panels. Each array will consist of a composite panel (2 feet by 4 feet) made up of a backerboard, spacers, and photo voltaic panel. The panels are installed flat on the existing roof surface and are secured by means of a poured concrete curb. When the system is not operating, due to seasonable weather, the building receives all required electricity from the local utility distribution company.
