Document Description
The project consists of repairing a failed section of freeway drain that has resulted in severe erosion in an unnamed drainage to Murphy Canyon Creek. Approximately 3,270 cubic yards of imported borrow would be placed within the eroded area and compacted to support a new reinforced concrete pipe with an energy dissipator and rip rap at its outlet. The project should prevent any more erosion and therefore should have a positive effect on water quality. The fill area will be revegetated with local species. Monitoring will be done to ensure that the revegetation is adequate to prevent erosion and that invasive exotic species do not become established at the outlet of the dissipator.
