Document Description
The Applicant proposes to alter the streambed to conduct soil remediation activites within drainage 5. Soil would be excavated from an area no larger than 4.95 acres, impacting 0.50 acre of stream (including 0.29 acre of riparian habitat). An underground pipe will be installed within the excavated area and connected to an existing storm drain for drainage purposes; the excavated areas will be filled with clean, native soils; the excavated soil will be stockpiled outside of the stream on the southwest portion of the project site. Soil containing wastes that do not meet approved criteria for onsite burial will be stockpiled onsite for no more than 90 days and subsequently transported to an appropriate disposal facility for offsite disposal. The Applicant shall mitigate as described in the submitted documents and as follows: enhance 2.49 acres along Tonner Creek on the north boundary of the property with willow riparian and oak riparian habitat with the eradication of exotic plant species (primarily pepper trees) within the 2.49 acres and the planting of willows and coast live oaks, with native understory.
