Document Description
This Environmental Assessment analyzes the Proposed Action (Combined Stationing at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) which includes the ASF and MEP facilities located at SCLA, in Victorville, California. The new ASF would feature an operational 8-helicopter (UH- 60 Blackhawk) pad located at Hangar Building 761 and two MEP parking areas at SCLA are being evaluated; Site 605 and Site 562. Alternative A, the stationing requirements for both personnel and equipment would be identical to those described in the Proposed Action. The ASF activities would be conducted at SCLA as previously described, while the MEp activities would be conducted at Yermo. The proposed MEP site at Yermo is located at Site 593. The No-Action Alternative would maintain status quo deficiencies in training facilities for USAR personnel in Southern California. Existing activities and uses of SCLA and Yermo would continue, and USAR ASF and MEP operations would not occur at either location as currently proposed.
